I wear lots of V-necks in different styles, but I never wear any white ones. Finding these in black and grey were wonderful. The grey ones seem to be a little thicker cotton than the black, but that's better, in my opinion. I wear the black ones as normal everyday shirts, and I actually tie-dyed the grey ones with black and navy blue dyes (and believe me, they are well-suited for that). The Hanes ComfortSoft shirts are the best plain tees I've found on the market right now -- not too thin, not too thick, and very comfortable and durable. If you're a "plain t-shirt" sort of guy, go for it and splurge on these. They may cost a few dollars more, but you'll be able to wear them through hundreds of washings for many years to come.

I own 24 pair of these socks, all ordered from Amazon. 12 months later, I have 2 individual socks each with small holes near the middle toe. I can still wear them, and may darn them, but otherwise generally living up to daily wear. I'll note the price went from 7 to 16 in the interim.
25 Months Later
It's been 2 years since I purchased these. I have numerous holes in these now in the toe area, primarily around the big and middle toe (which sticks out a bit beyond the others). I'd say maybe a third of them. And they have begun to wear thin in the heel area. I'll be shopping for a set of replacements. I didn't bother to darn them, other than verbally.
Now for the only "bad" side other than an occasional ride up. The way people say to dry these is too roll then up in a towel and ring out. This does a really good job drying the boxers, but soaks the towel. So, if you don't have access to unlimited towels(hotel), drying times will very depending on the climate/ humidity you are in. Just take that into consideration and you will be fine.
