I would wear a 31" jeans or slacks, so I bought the Medium size. They're a bit snug.
I was excited to get these during the height of summer in an attempt to keep a little cooler and drier. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. The fabric is much lighter than 100% cotton, but the mesh is so small that I don't think I'm getting the "breathable" part. And because of the snug fit, they're actually not as comfortable as my all-cotton ones.
The big surprise was that there is no fly. How could I have missed that in the product description?
UPDATE (after about 2 weeks):
These are some of the most uncomfortable boxer briefs I have. I got these hoping they'd be cool to wear on a hot summer day. NOT! The mesh is VERY small, and the fabric isn't nearly as comfortable as cotton. I like the mesh inside a men's swim trunks. The mesh in these is much to small to allow airflow.
I like FOTL products, so I think I'll try the ones that are a blend of cotton and spandex. I would definitely look for one with a wider, more breathable mesh. Maybe something that doesn't say "micromesh".
