About the wallet, it is rugged, the stitching is firm and the leather is strong, and it has lots room for the ESSENTIALS and no more. You will not be stuffing receipts into this wallet and there is little room for cash. You won't find a better choice for a minimalist wallet than this one.
They've gone through the wash several times, and are holding up fine. A little pilling starting to show up, but not much.
They are thin...ish. Similar to a running sock. They are not super thick "work" socks or such. The elastic around the foot metatarsal area is moderately strong. The Achilles "bumper" is very good and is indeed high enough to stay above the top rear of my shoes.
All in all, a good sock. For the price, a fantastic sock.
